Original artwork description:

We stayed until dusk. Although we'd left before dawn to explore Glacier National Park's eastern side, we were so taken by its beauty, we could not bring ourselves to leave until evening crept across the sky, slowly erasing daylight. It had been a day of adventure. Stopping along the trail to rest while on our hike to the Many Glacier, we looked up the mountain and eyed a grizzly silhouetted at the ridge line; her cubs barreling down the hill toward us. When Mama Bear ambled downhill after them, we decided to be on our way, walking briskly, snapping pictures as we stayed together (Safety in numbers!), and checking that bear spray was ready to go. Wild flowers nodded in the breeze. Sparkling brooks yielded unexpectedly into roaring waterfalls crashing into canyons below. So many vistas showcasing themselves as potential paintings! Distant Peaks captures the end of this beautiful day. Some days are memorable because they tell stories. This is one of my favorite tales.
