Original artwork description:
Unframed acrylic painting on canvas 51x41cms. This painting was initially inspired by the heather clad hills of the Angus Glens in Scotland. I have stayed in this part of Scotland many times and always find it a huge source of ideas for my artwork. Surprisingly, there is quite a lot of arable farmland in this area. I found the combination of hills and fields very appealing. Beginning with the dark mauves and pink purples of the heather, I chose a colour palette which would also give a sense of the distance. These colours of themselves though always remind me of Scotland anyway.
The painting is sold unframed.
