With this work, I am showing an epiphany. The figure is shielding her eyes from some unhappy image. Perhaps there is a recognition that a change is necessary. Then again, sometimes I really don't know what type of comments to make about a painting and just let the title tell the story. better yet, let the viewer use their imagination to form a story.
DISPAIR 2 is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using acrylic paint and India ink. The background has been digitally reproduced and laminated to the 4 mil archival grade mylar and then the portrait and staticy lines were painted over the background. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting will be shipped in a tube. The artwork is very easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell and also I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board. See the “me at work” section for instructions on how to mount artwork on a board.

If you prefer, I will mount the artwork tempered masonite with a one inch border all around. It will be “ready to hang”, with a hanging strip attached to the back and a wall hanging device that is very simple to use. It will be shipped in a cardboard box. You may take it out of the box and have it hanging on your wall within five minutes. The extra charge is $70.00 for mounting and packaging plus the additional shipping costs.
