Edouard Manet's Maison de Rueil has always struck me as an artistic protest against formal composition and order. Why else would he have chosen to allow the position of the tree to "spoil" the image.
So with the photo I took of this scene in Melbourne's Dockland district - a real life clash of reds in a sea of grey.
