Artwork description:

The diptych no. 5 features the photographs *A lone cypress tree* and *Two lone cypresses* from my collection "Tuscany: land of soul".

This photographs were taken in the Val d’Orcia region, a wide countryside in southern Tuscany, the region where I live.

Its green hills are characterized by a dense vegetation, dotted with vineyards, olive groves, cypresses, beech and chestnut groves, a backdrop of marvelous castles, medieval villages and rural houses.

Since 2004 the Val d'Orcia is in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In *A lone cypress tree* and *Two lone cypresses*, the color tones are light and delicate, just as the soft and sinuous curves of the hills shape the entire scene.
The light is gentle, and the trees impart a sense of peace and tranquility to the viewer. A harmonious and meditative diptych.

In this diptych, the two photographs each have a format of 50x67 cm, with an additional 5 cm white border on each side to allow for easy mounting on a frame and subsequent framing.
