In this work I am experimenting with painting flowers from imagination. This gave me the freedom to paint whatever shapes and colours I liked. The process resulted in whimsical-type flowers, giving a contemporary feel to it as opposed to traditional still life. I added zentangle patterns in the flowers, the vase and other parts of the painting, which is something I like to do in most of my works.
This painting is done on a deep cradled panel board. The sides of the board have been finished with timber varnish to give it the look of a framed painting (check the photos).
The painting has also been finished with acrylic varnish for durability and protection.
