Dido 24x24 - Square Artwork - Oil Painting On Canvas_x000D_ _x000D_ As well as a painter I am a songwriter and I co-wrote 8 songs on Didos last album Still On My Mind which was big success and no.1 album in the world. We worked Intensely for two years together and we continue to write together on her next record. _x000D_ I wanted to paint the album cover as a way of reminiscing over the period of working on it. it has thick crusty paint because we worked and reworked etc on the songs and I wanted to show that process as it was anything but a smooth process. _x000D_ _x000D_ The original comes with a certificate of authenticity and is painted on a deep edges canvas. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
