If you have read "Great Expectations" you maybe understand why I painted Estella with a somewhat guilty look. This based on the way that she misused Pip. I have tried to create a scene where Estella is standing in the gloomy ballroom of Miss Havisham's mansion.
And, If you haven't read the book, you should. It is one of the great classics of all times.
Dicken's Estella is a one of a kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on Dura-Lar 5 mil artist mylar mounted on tempered masonite. For this work, the ballroom was graphically reproduced and laminated to the mylar surface in the manner of a collage. The remainder of the work was produced with acrylic paint and india ink.
I only sell original work so there will only be one original.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on tempered masonite with a two inch wide painted border. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
