I left home around 4.30 for an early expedition to watch the sunrise, reaching the fields it was still and quiet, mist hung about the fields in ribbons softening the landscape features. My boots were wet with dew which made the grass white. I watched the sunrise and made sketches and notes, took some images to use later to create my painting
