Original artwork description:

A dramatic wooded river gorge in autumn with deep dark black swirling water, near Blair Atholl in the Scottish Highlands inspired this dramatic colourful, red and blue abstract painting, on a lightly textured canvas. It was painted on a black canvas which shows through the paint especially in the water, and I hope I have captured the mood and atmosphere of the deep swirling foaming water gushing through the narrow gorge, covered in trees, and branches.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
