The size is 100x150 cm and is painted with oil on Belgian portrait linen, which Jennie prepared in a traditional way. The stretcher is of museum quality and is 5 cm thick. The thick strokes of oil paint give a special reflection with a certain incidence of light. Jennie started developing this new style in 2022 and this is the fourth in this landscape series.
The inspiration for this painting is the idea that the branches join together, even when they feel connected. They stand there for centuries with the desire to touch each other. The desire is so strong that they finally succeeded!
The work is both moving because of its color and robust because of its structure. The first impression is inspiring and transformative. It is an open work with countless stripes of waxy and visible colors and brushwork.
