Part of a series of paintings inspired by sacred geometry, in particular, triangles. The bold, structural lines draw the viewer's eye across and around the painting, interconnecting the subject of the work with the symbols.
Acrylic & ink, with flashes of neon colour that catches the eye, off-setting the bold geometric symbolism.
A very fine brush was used to blend the paint, creating a striking contrast between light and dark.
Delta (uppercase Δ, lowercase δ or 𝛿; Δέλτα Délta; Modern Greek [ˈðelta]) is the fourth letter of the Greek Alphabet.
This paintings has links to synaesthesia, a truly fascinating condition often described as a “union of the senses” whereby two or more of the five senses that are normally experienced separately are involuntarily and automatically joined together. The subject of the painting is gazing at the symbolic geometry in front of her, however she can also be seen to be singing a melody, the tune becoming visible in the shapes suspended in the air.
Framed in a 30mm wide dark pewter/silver silver pattern frame made from solid pine. Crystal clear 2mm acrylic glazing. Shatter proof and 20% clearer than glass. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity attached to the back of the frame. The frame is complete with an acid free double mount and backing board, which protects the artwork.
Limited edition giclée prints are also available of this work.
