This Ink drawing was created in Liverpool and is part of a series of celebrity portraits that was done at a time when my wife and I had returned to live in the U.K. I think the series was inspired by my return to Liverpool after living in Taiwan for 12 years and wanting to represent prominent memories and figures from my past. At that moment I really identified with these figures from my past and remembered how I had enjoyed watching and laughing at them with my family. I am sure many British people grew up with Only Fools and Horses and have fond memories of the Christmas Specials. It was created using hatching and over-laying layers of Ink to define the shape and shadows of his face.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
