Burial Mound from pre-Native American period, when aboriginies piled dirt or shells around hollowed out log. As tribal members died, they were interred in the mound. Special ceremonies were performed by putting live coals in the logs and adding wet leaves to make a sacred smoke to carry prayers to the Great Spirit.
Painting is stretched on a wood block frame, so no need for a frame. It will protrude from the wall about 1.5 inches.
