‘Deer in Winter’ is an etching and aquatint by Tim Southall - an artist who has been exploring this medium for some forty year. The image depicted is a snapshot of a family of deer caught in the misty stillness of a wintery pine forest. It is a scene of tranquility and quiet.

This print is made on a copper plate using acid to etch the drawing into the plate. It is printed on Somerset Velvet, an off-white heavyweight 300 gsm handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is in a limited edition of 75 and is signed and numbered by the artist. The image size is 20 x 30 cm on a paper size is 35 x 42 cm.
