Since I moved to California, one of the most common animal encounters I had was the black tailed deer. I often find them during my walks or when I drive to and from work. They have this kind look and their grace always makes me reflect on the beauty of life, it is an opportunity to stop and look at my surroundings. They usually seem contemplative, like there is no rush (unless they feel threatened, of course!), and it is always a pleasure to cross paths with them. This painting is just outside my home, since deer often like to hang out at my neighbor's place.
I used Cotman watercolors and acid free 300 grams wc paper.
watercolor (cotman, Windsor & Newton), and canton wc paper 300 gr cold pressed
