Original artwork description:

This artwork is an original, one off work by the artist.

This work follows on from another work about Greek mythology, and is the second one about Asphodel Meadows, which is a section of the Ancient Greek underworld where ordinary souls were sent to live after death. It produces a sense of wonder, while ancient ideas seem so alien to us these days, yet it still seems to ring true today. Painted in the style of abstract expressionism.

I like using acrylics as the colours blend so well together.

This work is UNFRAMED and was painted on Hahnemühle Etching Paper 300gsm Warm White, with dimensions 78 × 106 × 0.3 cm (unframed). The frame is NOT included and is just for illustrative purposes.

This work was created in September 2017.

In my paintings, I use finest quality professional Liquitex acrylic paints, gallery canvas. The painting was sprayed with a glaze of varnish.

A Certificate of Authenticity with hologram - verification is attached to the image.

FRAMED AND INTERIOR IMAGES
In the photos, where the painting is shown mounted on a wall, these are purely for illustrative purposes. You should review the dimension of the artwork to be sure the work suits your needs. In the case when a painting is sold without a frame, of course, you can add a frame of your choosing and so it will add to the overall dimensions.

Materials used:

Acrylic and Gesso
