This is an original painting entitled Deep.
This abstract painting was all about experimenting with a colour that could achieve depth without being dark and flat so a mix of pthalo blue and ultramarine blue with an earthy burnt umber was used to establish a bluey black shade that was rich in colour. In contrast to that there is a scumble of layered lighter mixes above this to penetrate a bright focal point.
Artist quality paints on triple primed stretched boxed canvas.
