The painting is part of the series "Big Shots. Große Tiere." - portraits of street dogs.
After the dogs have been living in dog shelters for a short or a long period of time
some of them found a new owner, others, unadoptable, have been killed to make place for other dogs.
On the canvas they become protagonists – big shots – step out of the anonymous shadowy existence into an imaginary limelight.
Thanks to their famous names they move into the focus of our perception.
By the confrontation of the painting and the title the artist leaves an associative-personal interpretation to the observer.

The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame and the artwork doesn't require framing. It is ready to hang.
I created this painting using fine artist oil colours which will not fade when they get exposed to UV light.
Together with the artwork you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity with my signature and an exact description of the piece.
