Original artwork description:

My own rendering of the Death Tarot card, stuffed full of detail, you'll discover a new secret each time you gaze upon the face of this reaper.

DEATH's seen it all, but even for the Reaper, our streamlining of destruction is impressive! We flood the soil and air with ever more diabolical concoctions of chemicals, industrial agriculture has separated humans from their food to such a distance that we see slugs in our lettuce and crickets in our cabbage as a negative sign, instead of an insect endorsement of deliciousness!

Trying to get the pose just right for this slightly tired 'seen it all before' death was great fun and involved my posing several times with a broom in my apartment.

Acrylic and fine liner on 250gsm acid free paper.

Materials used:

Watercolour, pencil and ink on 250gsm paper
