Artwork description:

This is a hand pulled drypoint print with chine collé from my 'Daydream' collection, number 21 of an edition of 30.

The drypoint is produced by hand-drawing the design into a sheet of plastic and then the plate is inked up using the 'intaglio' method. The hand-made Japanese paper used for the chine collé is placed on the plate before it is run through the press - the bold designs of the paper working in harmony with the subtleties of the ink effects and the image of the figure.

This work is very much inspired by contemporary fashion photography. It is created in response to the images seen in magazines such as ID, AnOther and Vogue and is a celebration of and a reflection on the beauty in each and every one of us.

This edition of 30 has been produced as a variable edition. This means that there is no print exactly the same - there are lots of different ink and collage paper combinations to make every print unique and all the more special.
