Original artwork description:

This drawing was started just after sunrise on a bright, hot and sunny morning. I found this drawing particularly challenging as the whole side of the mountain was illuminated with bright morning sunlight, which made it difficult to make the very slight tonal differences of the peaks, slopes and areas of rock stand out from each other. I worked into the oil pastel with a paper clip in certain areas to add details to the shapes of the peaks and trees. The previous sunset picture had more distinct light and shaded areas to show the different shapes of the peaks more clearly. It’s always interesting to see the different problems that each particular picture presents, and is part of the puzzle solving fun.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver to every country at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
