The artwork “These Are Not Flowers” playfully explores the theme of “point of view,” encouraging viewers to question their own perception and interpretation. At first glance, the vibrant colors and dynamic forms might resemble a colorful field of flowers. However, upon closer inspection, one realizes that these are not flowers, but rather a multitude of bulls depicted in various positions—some even upside down.

The bulls, filling the canvas, seem to move in a confusing yet harmonious pattern. Their arrangement, sometimes inverted and shown from unusual perspectives, invites the viewer to shift their point of view and examine the painting from different angles. The cheerful, bright colors enhance the effect of illusion, creating an atmosphere that is both bewildering and captivating.

The title, “These Are Not Flowers,” is a playful nod to the viewer’s initial assumption. The work invites us to look deeper, challenging the boundaries between what we see and what we think we see.
