I love to put red tulips in to this dark blue patterned Burleigh jug

This is the polyester litho plate from which a very limited edition was printed, and no more are being produced from this image. Once a print run is finished the plate itself is a reversed image of the prints. It often has marks and textures resulting from the printmaking process, which I particularly like as it adds the depth of the image. I often work on lithographic plates after I have finished printing from them. They are full of character after being run through the printing press and I scratch into them with a drypoint needle and tint them with ink.

Polyester litho is a thin paper-like plate with a coating one side that resembles a stone surface and can be printed from using relief ink.
It was printed with oil-based relief ink and hand embellished with a light layer of water-based ink.

This original plate comes backed onto board and framed. While every care will be taken to pack the frame for delivery, please take into account that damage may happen in transit.

All artworks posted within the UK are sent by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed which (usually!) arrives the next day after dispatch before 1pm.

Artworks sent to Europe and beyond are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed, and usually arrive within a week of dispatch.
