"Zelisa" is perhaps one of the coldest and darkest Beauties that I've painted.
I painted the background with a pewter-silver acrylic paint, one that, in spite of it's dark appearance, reflects the light in a very shiny way.
I wondered if I could make the hair part look voluminous using little as paint possible.
It turned out to be very hard to make something look brighter than the background: soon as I painted regular white over the silver it dulled and it even looked darker than the background,
Pure white! Really!!!
(See some examples on the extra photos that are taken from different angles)
As usual the sides are painted as well, so Zelisa can be hanged on the wall without needing a frame to look "finished".
