A compact, square Scottish landscape painting, drawing inspiration from the diminutive lochans, lochs, or lakes nestled in the wild Highlands of Scotland, such as Sutherland, Knoydart, Wester Ross, or the Hebridean islands of Lewis and Harris, North and south Uist, or the misty Isle of Skye. These waters are encircled by mist-laden, rain-drenched hills and expansive, marshy moorland wilderness. The artwork is rendered in a contemporary, semi-abstract impressionistic style, using a palette of sombre black, muted grey, and striking splashes of bright magenta.
Painted using quality artists paint on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
