Dark Hills, Coire a Ghrunnda, Isle of Skye

My landscape paintings are drawn from field notes in which I quickly sketched and wrote my impressions of a very particular time in a specific place. Later these sketches and words formed the basis of paintings.

The painting is varnished with layers of matte varnish for protection and to enhance the depth of colour.
