An angel enclosed by her own feathery wings caressing her body.
This third in the series is again a large pastel drawing in deep tones of brown and black but this particular image has quite strongly coloured areas of russet, blue, magenta and turquoise with a turquoise glowing heart.
Her face is overlaid with gold powder which catches the light particularly at night and there are fine gold pencil lines throughout her wings. Her eyelashes are a deep blue.
From a series that I made in my last years in London 1992. It and the others in the series have not been exhibited since my Beck Road Open Studios in that year.
Drawn on 250gsm paper.
