Dancing in the Dark - oil and resin on wood panel - d.80 cm - 2023
Dancing in the Dark is an abstract work where everything focuses on the swirling movement of the brushstrokes that create a colorful dance against the black background in the painting. the painting is very layered, in fact I started working on this work in 2019 and finished it in 2023 when it was presented in my personal exhibition CROSSOVER at the Domus Art Gallery in Athens. The stratification of the color layers separated by the transparent resin creates a three-dimensional effect and gives depth to the painting which seems to be constantly moving.
for this work I used a polished brass frame that emanates a golden light on the wall.
