A ballerina on pointe is what people think of when they think of the ballet, and has been a great source of interest for me over the last year. It's only by watching young dancers that I began to realize how many years of work go into getting feet strong enough to withstand such pressure. I also love contemporary ballet and thought I'd paint a dancer's feet on tip-toes, and possibly later do a sister painting of the feet in the same position en pointe.
This painting is framed in solidly made, 55 ml wide, framed painted in dark grey. The painting is painted on canvas-board and mounted with acid free card. Frame was professionally made to order by Frames Express.
