This is another of my ballet series, in which I'm playing with texture, movement and shape. I'm endlessly amazed at the strength and skill in ballet. In the 'Dancer in the Dark' painting series I search for the amazing shapes the ballerina can create with the body, I paint only the flesh, submerging the torso and anything covered by the leotard into the background. This simplifies the image, focusing all the attention on the ballerina and nothing else.

They are framed in solid custom made framed, 55 ml wide painted dark blue gray with a clip on the back to hang.
