Original artwork description:

This piece was sketched in studio with a live model who was also a part-time dancer. In this pose, she really did appear to have drifted off into a sleep and was genuinely tired from previous physical exertion.

I later painted and embellished the charcoal sketch with oil colour and then mounted and varnished it onto a deep edge canvas.
