Original artwork description:

In architecture, I see a mixture of function and decoration that is almost poetic.
This balcony faced my hotel in Dalat, Vietnam, and the rain on the tiles, the hot weather muted colours and symmetry of the concrete ballustrade was irresistable.
I made watercolour colour notes and drew on the spot and made the painting much later in my studio.
