This mandala style daisy design came to my mind when I started playing with the idea of the title 'Daisy Chain'. The idea of multiple daises being connected in a chain and my penchant for celtic knot designs led to this mesmeric and repetitive pattern. It was challenging getting the pattern to work and I delicately painted the daisies with watercolor and pencil before laying in some Indian ink, gouache and colored pencil for the background.
