It is such a lovely time of year when the hay in the fields is still green and full of long-stemmed daisies. They are one of my favourite flowers for their simplicity, cheerfulness and because, when I pick bunches to take home in a vase, they keep for a long time.
This is a view painted near my home in the Saarland region of South-West Germany, capturing the fresh greens of early summer and celebrating these highly underrated little white flowers!
