Abstracted Impressionist landscape painting.

Spring has arrived in rural Kent, where I live and work. As I work outside as much as possible I am attuned to the changing season, and the early sunshine, burgeoning flowers, especially the daisy, and grass growing is a real joy and an inspiration for this painting.

I use top quality Golden acrylics, and spend time layering the canvas with many shades of paint, flicking, using a palette knife, brushes rags and allowing paint to drip down the canvas in order to create a rich textured paint surface.

This 40x100cm canvas is unframed. It has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
