I love history and the feel of the victorian era with the mix of the dirty streets, beautiful dresses and industrial steam powered machinery so it seem perfect to mix my love of steampunk with my favourite breed of dog!

This dachshund painting is in the steampunk style and on a gesso primed 70cm x 70cm stretched deep edge canvas, it is painted with Bristol paints and sealed with a matt glaze, the edges are finished with gold metal foil and ealed with French polish.

Dachshunds are my favourite dog and I feel I must spread the love through my work so this is not my first dachshund creation and it will definately not be my last!

How cool would this painting look in a New York loft style abode, hung on a brick wall next to the bare pipes and wooden floorboards? It is not framed so you could go to town with the framing in something chunky and metal finished or just leave it as it is either way it would make a great statement piece!
