The implication is that she has given herself a haircut and is in the process of drying it, with the assistance of a passing gust. A light-hearted allegory of self-sufficiency and keeping things simple. Painted on a professionally stretched linen canvas using the finest artists' quality Harding and Old Holland oils and mediums. Finished with a light satin varnish.
