Paul has absorbed the feel and atmospheres of many coastal stretches, sketching, painting and creating images in his mind. His observation of the meandering retreating streams winding their way around raised sandbanks and rippled sands has inspired this vertical format painting.

Curlews Haunt is painted with a limited palette combining subtle blends and texture to create a tranquil warm atmosphere to the painting.
