Artwork description:

This is a hand pulled drypoint print with chine collé from my 'Curious?' collection, number 11 in a variable edition of 30.

This drypoint is produced by hand-drawing the design into a sheet of plastic and then the plate is inked up using the 'intaglio' method. The hand-made Japanese paper used for the chine collé is placed on the plate before it is run through the press - the bold designs of the paper working in harmony with the subtleties of the ink effects and the image of the figure.

This work is very much inspired by contemporary fashion photography. It is created in response to the images seen in magazines such as ID, AnOther and Vogue and is a celebration of and a reflection on the beauty in each and every one of us.

**Please note, this print has a lower price because of a slight colouration at the top of the shoulder area as shown in the final picture**

Materials used:

Drypoint print using oil based printmaking inks and hand-made Japanese Chiyogami paper on Somerset 300gsm printmaking paper
