Original artwork description:

My work is bright, vibrant and colourful. I am interested in colour and texture relationships in my work. I take photographs of the internal workings of electronic machines. This Piece is from a series of images from a circuit board. The photographs are manipulated digitally on a computer using an image editor to produce an abstract image. I use this image to make a mixed textile piece of work. I use needle felting and decorative stitch techniques to make a work from fabric, wool fleece and thread. Some of the fabric I use is coloured by hand dyeing techniques. I would describe the process I use as painting with textiles. This work is mounted on a board and wooden frame.
