This still-life painting depicts a cup of green tea as the only tangible object in an otherwise surreal, abstract environment. The table is rendered in reverse perspective, the sky is green and the landscape is purple. Abstract strokes and splashes create a chaotic, yet strangely beautiful atmosphere leaving no answers. I wanted to convey the idea that our senses are limited by physical reality, and that the tea can be a gateway to a divine experience.
The three eyes symbolize the celestial, completing the painting.
