This work- Crushed Velvet, was inspired by an iris I have been waiting to see bloom in my garden for year...it’s called Dark Knight and starts off almost black before the full bloom unfolds into gloriously rich purples, blues and hints of warm rosy crimson! Very definitely with the wait.

Bringing the garden in to the house through painting ensures blooms never fade and are enjoyed always.

Offered unframed and I mounted I will ship this work an a robust cardboard package so you can frame it to suit your style.

100% cotton rag watercolour paper & artists pigments from Windsor & Newton and Daniel Smith
