The stories of the bible fascinate me. I am not religious. I went through a period in my youth when I was but now I struggle with religious narrative. I am glad it its there for people to have. Especially inn ever changing times it can be their rock. _x000D_ Though I am not an avid follower of christianity. I love the stories and I love history. This painting explores this. Historical paintings of the past by rembrandt where nothing was accurate in clothes etc but it does not matter the power of the painting is there. The biblical stories new testament or old have huge power irrespective of peoples beliefs one has to respect the enduring stories. _x000D_ I focus here On the roman who drives the spear in jesus side and feels his soul dissapear to hell as he does. Mary magdalene in red Mary in blue grieving. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake.
