This is an original impressionist oil painting of the river in Crozant, Creuse (France) in the autumn, from the region where I reside. A whole impressionist school known as the "Crozant School" grew from these wild valleys in an untamed part of rural France. Claude Monet came to this area to paint, along with many other impressionists of the 20th century.
It is painted on a toned Clairefontaine canvas board (canvas attached to a rigid board) and has been suitably varnished.
Oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois)
