Working together with my partner and raku potter Andy Sheppard, we created this hand sculptured figure from a single piece of clay out of the palm of my hand. This is the first in the series of crouching figures.
I particulair like to work this way without any mechanical device between myself and the ceramic.
Being more intimate in the process of making. Reflecting inner thoughts and feelings. Sympathetic with patterns of thoughts, portraying unique reality/ sensitivity, as well as a visual and tactile adventure.
It is a smoke fired sculpture in china clay.
