Original artwork description:
Crimson sky is an abstract painting combining an acrylics background with an almost illustrative foreground of abstract sail boats. The painting is takes reference in Bauhaus paintings and (modern) illustrative art. To create depth in the painting, I applied the principle of a "repoussoir", by cutting off large boats in the front to pull the viewer into the artwork.
