The "Criminal Files - James Nicol Fleming" is the art of collage made by print techniques on the real vintage page from the book "The Universal Dictionary of the English Language", edited by Henry Cecil Wyld. Published by the Amalgamated Press Ltd. No publication date was given. The latest date given in the Bibliographical section is 1930 so we assume shortly after this. Triple column format.
The original dictionary page was handcrafted modified to give a more old vintage look, with the coffee stains. Together with print vintage photography from old criminal files looking great give a real vintage style.
Police portraits of criminals from the 19th century. The image is taken from an album containing 934 mugshots of people incarcerated at HM General prison in Perth, Scotland, in the early 1880s.
