Original artwork description:

This original painting forms part of a series of Cranes I've painted over several years. Several are now sold, but I will be adding to this collection over the course of the next couple of years.

The crane is the most popular bird in Chinese history and is the symbol of longevity and auspiciousness. In ancient China the crane was regarded a having a long life span. It also represents a lasting soaring spirit, health and happiness.

This painting, like the others in the series took a while to complete because of all the detail, but I'm very happy with the result.
