This is a painting of one of the many fishing villages along the coastline in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland.
The villages are much loved and visited often. It is lovely to walk around them and look at all the boats. Often there are dramatic stormy seas and high tides, and harbours offer some protection.
Crail Harbour has beautiful stone work and I was able to draw attention to this aspect by painting the harbour when the tide was out, thus revealing the patterns and colours of the stonework and three boats marooned in the muddy base of the harbour.
Framed and ready to hang on the wall.
